When Krista & Justin booked me for their wedding, I was already excited about their engagement session. These two live just off of Jekyll Island, so obviously we did their engagement session on the island. After weeks of planning, and arranging travel, we were all set to head to Jekyll.
I love summertime engagement sessions but with the beautiful weather comes the often threat of severe thunderstorms and terrible weather. When I tell you it rained the entire day, it rained the ENTIRE. DAY. From the time left to when I pulled into the hotel parking lot, I didn’t turn my windshield wipers off one time. We decided to push the session until the next day and I am so glad we did.
My mom tagged along for the trip so we were able to eat some great food, stroll around the beach village on the island, and even scout out portrait locations for their wedding in March! When the session rolled around, we had the most beautiful weather. We started at The Crane Cottage and then headed to Driftwood Beach. Krista popped off with her outfits, the colors were beautiful, and I have been so excited to share these with you even before we shot! These two love everything hunting and fishing. Justin’s only request: pictures of and on his boat and of course we made that happen.
