The Gileses: Mountain View Gardens & Ballroom, Springville, AL

You plan and pray for no rain, but we all know we can’t control the weather! When I arrived at Mountain View Gardens & Ballroom for Bethany & Clay’s big day, there was a HUGE thunderstorm cloud, and it was quickly moving our way. With almost 2 hours of shooting inside before needing to start photos outside, I thought for sure the rain would pass by then… NOPE! It rained for most of the morning and into the afternoon.

I have to take a second to brag on these two. Despite the storm and all the rain, Bethany and Clay were calm and stress-free for the entirety of the day. They were flexible and willing to move things around on the timeline to accommodate the distasteful weather, and the day turned out perfectly. We even got some dreamy rain portraits of the two of them. The rain clouds finally parted, but we still had one problem… the ground was soaking wet, and muddy ground with a white dress DOES NOT MIX! After wracking our brains, I came up with an interesting solution. The plastic garment bag Bethany’s dress was in made the perfect shield between the ground and Bethany’s gorgeous dress! The details, the dresses, the colors, the COUPLE! It was a great day witnessing Bethany and Clay say, “I do” in front of their family and friends.

Bethany and Clay: Thank you so much for the honor of allowing me to capture the best day of your lives! I had so much fun watching the two of you make a covenant before the Lord and your family and friends. I hope you enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from your romantic, rainy wedding day!

Happy to have you!

I'm so glad you're here
