There was a double rainbow during the ceremony!
Yes, a double rainbow! How special was it for Ciara to turn around during their ceremony to see a double rainbow, God’s ultimate promise of faithfulness and mercy. Ciara and Cory were incredible despite all of the threats of rain. We were able to get everything done, including the ceremony, before it started raining for the rest of the night. A wedding venue tucked in the Cumberland Mountains offered beautiful panoramic views and made a gorgeous wedding ceremony backdrop. There was even a creek that flowed into a pond as you walked down towards the ceremony location.
One of my favorite parts of the day came as a surprise to almost everyone in attendance. Ciara was asked to come to the dance floor and sit in the middle. Cory’s grandfather sang “Love Me Tender” to her and it was such a sweet moment. The families will always remember that memory and I am certain there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
